21 Day Sugar Detox Week 2

Week 2 started off with a bang ... I finally started shrinking my appetite. My sweet friend Stephanie brought me a treat from green-apple-and-coconut-treats. They were delicious and will be a go to treat in the future. I also found a new favorite kombucha flavor with lower sugar : Synergy Trilogy, so good lemon, raspberry and ginger with alittle fizzle! A great trick that has been around forever but I use daily ... use smaller plates.

Broccoli Salad (21dsd)

2 crowns of broccoli, chopped
1 small onion, minced
1/4 apple, chopped
1/2 large red bell pepper,copped
1/3 c sliced almonds
1/3 c pepitas
1/3 c simple vinaigrette from 21 dsd guide book
1/2 c homemade mayo

Mix and enjoy!

Salmon Patties and Lemon Paprika Sauce (21dsd)

Salmon Patties:

4 cans 6 oz wild salmon (I love Trader Joes)
7 eggs
1 onion, diced
1/4 c mayo
1 1/2 c almond meal
2 T coconut flour
2 t garlic powder
2 t dill
1 t paprika
salt and pepper

Pan fry in coconut oil.

Lemon Paprika Sauce

1 can full fat coconut milk (use only think white part)
2 T mayo
3 T lemon juice
2 t dill
1 t paprika
1 t garlic powder
salt and pepper

21 Day Sugar Detox Week One

Started yesterday by doing alot of prep for the week. Woke and weighed in and measured my waist, hips and chest. I know it is alot of work but I will feel so much better at the end of it.....

Breakfast: Kale, Bacon and Olive Quiche (from Eat Like a Dinosaur)
Lunch: Lettuce wraps with chicken, red pepper, avocado, pickle and simple 21dsd vinaigrette
Snack: Hard boiled egg and pickle
Dinner: Cobb Salad
Dessert: Almond butter, Banana, Coco Smoothie

Day Two

Breakfast: Kale, Bacon and Olive Quiche (from Eat Like a Dinosaur)
Lunch: Cobb Salad
Snack: nuts
Dinner: Chicken and Broccoli Salad
Dessert: Almond butter, Banana, Coco Smoothie

Day Three

Breakfast: Kale, Bacon and Olive Quiche (from Eat Like a Dinosaur) w/ avocado
Lunch: Chicken Drumsticks and Broccoli Salad
Dinner: Chicken Taco in romaine and Bell Peppers with guacamole
Dessert: Almond butter, Banana, Coco Smoothie



Day Four
Breakfast: Kale, Bacon and Olive Quiche (from Eat Like a Dinosaur) w/ avocado
Snack: Almonds
Lunch: Chicken Taco Salad on romaine w/Bell Peppers, cucumber and w/ guacamole
Dinner: Burgers in lettuce and grilled cabbage and broccoli salad



Day Five
Breakfast: Pumpkin Pancakes and Bacon
Snack: Almonds
Lunch: Burgers in lettuce and grilled cabbage
Dinner: Ribeye, Roasted Carrots and cabbage
Dessert: Almond butter, Banana, Coco Smoothie


Day Six
Breakfast: Pumpkin Pancakes and Bacon
Snack: Hardboiled Egg and Pickle 
Lunch: Steak and Cabbage
Dinner: Meatball salad
Dessert: Almond butter, Banana, Coco Smoothie


Day Seven ... finally feeling a decrease in hunger! 
Breakfast: Almond butter, Banana, Coco Smoothie
Lunch: 2 meatballs and 2 more later
Dinner: Fajitas w/ peppers, mushrooms and onion topped with guacamole

Results: - 3.2 lbs, - .25in on chest, - 1in on hips, -1.25in on waist 
Feeling: Less bloated, cravings and hunger have decreased!
